Thermograph Surveys
Thermal imaging packages provide cost effective and verifiable information; this can be planned in as part of your preventative maintenance schedule.
It can be used to examine electrical installations or mechanical components. ACDC Solutions provide a professional service that will integrate with your operating systems, which would save you money in the long run, time and valuable resources.
Electrical Survey
Thermal imaging is a good means of carrying out an electrical inspection. This technique is used to find a potentially overloaded component or a loose connection.
We understand that if a component fails it could cost you thousands of pounds in downtime and lost production, so, our main aim is to prevent this from happening. Fire insurance providers are more commonly asking for evidence that you have undertaken a thermographic survey of your electrical equipment. Some insurers also offer a discount if you have set up a regular thermal imaging survey.
This form of condition monitoring, (thermal imaging), can be conducted whilst your equipment is working under normal operations. Any problems will show immediately allowing yourselves time to schedule maintenance at a time convenient for your business.
Another advantage of thermal imaging is that the inspection can be conducted whilst the electrical system is live and drawing current. The inspection will show any areas of weakness, as in a loose connection, overloads or phase imbalances etc.
ACDC Solutions also offer a service to rectify any faults found at a suitable time for your business.
Some examples that thermal imaging can be used on are:
- Distribution boards
- Transformers
- Control panels
- Phase imbalance in cables
- Batteries
Mechanical Survey
Utilizing thermal imaging for an inspection of mechanical equipment has the great advantage of being able to carry out the inspection whilst the equipment is still running. It can be tried on endless components showing any areas of weakness, as in for example, friction wear on a bearing.
